FUEL FILTRATION
Hughes Fuel Recovery equipment has successfully filtered over 4.5 million gallons of fuel for its customers. During that time our filtration specialists have remediated complex contamination issues from unstable fuel supplies and advanced formation of solids, free water contaminated fuel columns and microbiological contaminated conditions that contain bacteria and fungus. We have filtration procedures for lowering particle counts to meet ISO 4006 cleanliness codes that are paramount to the reliability of high pressure fuel rail (common rail) fuel systems. To assure quality, Hughes Fuel Recovery offers quality confirmation filtration for newly commissioned equipment and fuel transfer from older tanks to new equipment.
FUEL TESTING
Hughes Fuel Recovery offers fuel quality visual inspection and lab analysis. Fuel quality inspections are performed to ASTM D 4176 standard test method for free water and particulate contamination in distillate fuels. Sampling of fuel supplies are performed to methods contained in ASTM D 4057 standard practice for manual sampling of petroleum and petroleum products. Results are compiled into a report utilizing explanations as specified in ASTM D 4176. Lab analysis is available including the following test criteria: *Cetane Index* *Water* *Water and Sediment* *ISO 4006 Cleanliness Code* *API Gravity* *Distillation* *Micro Organism (Bacteria Fungus)* Results are compiled into a report that includes ASTM D 4176 Visual Inspection.
TANK MAINTENANCE
Hughes Fuel Recovery Services (Tanks of all configurations); Underground service tanks (UST’s), above ground service tanks (AST’s), and Base Tanks.
